Origin: Hwela, Cote d'Ivoire, Africa. This mask is one the largest African masks with one the youngest traditions. This mask was a public manifestation celebrating traditional family and village values. The Bedu proved irresistible, spreading rapidly among neighboring Nafana, Kulango, and Hwela communities.
