Bedu

Origin: Hwela, Cote d'Ivoire, Africa. This mask is one the largest African masks with one the youngest traditions. This mask was a public manifestation celebrating traditional family and village values. The Bedu proved irresistible, spreading rapidly among neighboring Nafana, Kulango, and Hwela communities. If you liked the Aduma you will be taken by this new piece, as it has a similar appeal. This piece is also a wonderful compliment to the Baule. It has a black background and stunning use of a large pallet of dichroic glass. size:15x33x5 boxed. Done in black background with colored highlights and dichroic.
